Alternating between our hot and cold magnesium pools expands and contracts your blood vessels – it's this process of constriction and expansion that’s particularly important – this is what helps to increase blood circulation and reduce inflammation. The rapid blood flow carries extra oxygen and nutrients to your muscles to assist with repair and decrease pain and also increases your metabolism. The extreme change in temperatures increases your heart rate and activates a pump mechanism which flushes out lactic acid and toxins.
Additionally, magnesium from the pools is absorbed through your skin which helps to regulate optimal magnesium stores in your body – this further aids in muscle recovery; reducing soreness and inflammation.
